Gangtok, July 30, 2025 — Sikkim University, one of the premier central universities in India, has released a job notification inviting applications for the post of Field Assistant in the Department of Microbiology, School of Life Sciences, situated at 6th Mile, Samdur, Tadong, Gangtok, Sikkim.

This opportunity is part of a research project funded under the prestigious National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS) and sponsored by G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment (NIHE), Almora, Uttarakhand. The selected candidate will be working on a project titled:

“Developing Probiotic Consortium for Enhancing Sustainable Agricultural Production at Himalayan Region of Sikkim State”.

The project is both temporary and co-terminus with the duration of the research work, which spans over three years.
