Sikkim Shines: First Ever Miss Universe Sikkim Finale and Stunning Photoshoot

GANGTOK: Positude, the organizer of the Miss Sikkim beauty pageant, is hosting the inaugural grand finale of Miss Universe Sikkim on August 10 at Manan Kendra. The winner will earn a direct entry into Miss Universe India under the Glamanand Group, which chooses India’s official representative for the Miss Universe pageant. This year’s Miss Universe will be held in Mexico in November.

In a past press conference, Positude proprietor and Miss Universe Sikkim State director Bijay Subba stated that the Miss Universe pageant welcomes all kinds of beauty, and there are specific height and age limits. For Sikkim, the age range is set between 17 and 32 years.

Auditions have already taken place at:

Cherry Garden Hotel, Geyzing (West) on June 9
Lasso Residency, Namchi (South) on June 16
MSSS Auditorium, Mangan (North) on June 23
Days Inn Hotel, Gangtok (East) on June 30

Subba noted that Northeastern beauties previously had limited opportunities to represent their state in Miss Universe India. With Glamanand Group acquiring the franchise rights, there is now a direct pathway for the Northeast to participate in Miss Universe India, ensuring fair representation.

Mazid Khan (Rui), Positude co-founder and Miss Universe West Bengal State director, expressed excitement about the collaboration with Miss Universe. He mentioned that this partnership would open up international opportunities and promote India as a whole.

Amjad Khan, Miss Universe India director of operations and marketing for the Northeast, congratulated Team Positude for their collaboration with Glamanand. He emphasized that state directors have been appointed across all states and UTs to ensure representation and to showcase local culture and traditions.

Arshina Sambul, Miss Grand 2023, highlighted Glamanand Group’s reputation as a leading pageant organization and encouraged girls to take advantage of this opportunity. Sophiya Singh, Miss Asia Pacific India 2024, urged Northeastern women to participate, emphasizing that Miss Universe is about sending a positive message to the world.
